Finding geek jewelery that is actually fashionable can be a lot of  work, that usually does not give up lots of results. I have been scouring the web for any type of lovely geek related jewelery and have come up empty. So I have taken it upon my self to learn to make my own fantabulos geeky bling. Should be fun! It will take a minute to learn but will be keeping you all posted on my progress! With any luck I will be able to make something as these resin bangles by Lissa Liggett below.

I want to be able to make something like this but totally geektastic!

I so love that my Vampire Knight necklace goes so well with this dress! Getting more uses out of cosplay items for the win! If you have any cosplay pieces that you have spent a lot of moolah on for con dust them off my fellow otakus and pair them with whatever awesome things you have in your closet! Because for all that money you spent on that outfit it should get as much use as possible. That Yoruichi halter top you haven’t touched in a year pair it with some cute jeans, a blazer, and some kick ass heels (or flats) and BAM you’ll be the hottest thing in the bar!  And Geek fellas anything Tony Stark  (not Iron Man) will get girls to buy you drinks. So if you cosplayed as that gorgeous man you’re so gold my dear.

Geeks don’t normally talk about skin care. Because Geek Culture is so obsessed with what we see and do on the screen that we have developed this massive problem of not taking care of the amazingness that we see in the mirror. We at GWPO belive that this view limits our ability  to show the outside world and more importantly ourselves how wonderful and fantastic we geeks really truly are.  And taking care of your skin is the most simplistic way to bring your best Geekself forward not for others but for you. Below I have compiled two products that are quick and easy to use. You will be back to gaming and anime in no time! So let’s get started with skin care 101!

Skin care

Mary Kay:  Products I recommend from this line that don’t require a lot of fuss are The Time Wise collection and the Velocity collection. Now these two products are pretty much the same except that time wise has an age fighting ingredient and the velocity has a slight fragrance and is minus the age stuff. They both are creams and can be used either at the sink or in the shower I prefer the shower with this type of cleanser, its a two birds one stone type deal. Clean body+ clean face= more time to watch anime and my bathroom counter not looking like a children’s wade pool also a plus. What also makes these two products so awesome is that they are 3-in-one, meaning they are a cleanser, toner, and a exfolinat in one bottle. Once you clean the face be sure to use the corresponding moisturizer cause mixing skin care products is bad juju. Skin care products is like mixing gas and fire you will hurt your skin if you do that. Also with Mary Kay you will have to go through a beauty consultant which is a blessing in disguise cause if you can get a class on just the skin care you can try all of their products before you get them and have a teacher who will show you  how to use it. Even if you don’t buy anything at least you get some knowledge on how to use skin care and what kind is for your skin type. But be sure you get a consultant that is local and is a Cadillac director or has been a director for at least 2 year

Mary Kay Velocity 3-in1

Aveeno: From this line I would recommend the Clear Complexion line You can choose from the cleaning pads (requires use of the sink) that has a smooth side and a exfoliant side, The Foaming Cleanser which is a liquid that becomes a foam when you press the pump and is excellent for removing makeup, There is also a cleaning cleanser and a bar, and of course the Clear Complexion moisturizer. These products can be bought at any drug store, grocery store, and places like Wal- Mart.

I hope these products help all my lovely Geeks out there become even more awesome!

It’s the start of another week here, and its another night of geektastic fun! Tonight Panther and I will be observing our weekly night of  karaoke with our friends. The reason why it’s called Suit Up Sunday you ask? I have decided to take a page from our good friend Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother and suit up! I agree with him that there never has to be a reason why a man can’t just throw on a suit when going out and look awesome. I encourage all my geek brethren to suit up, get out, and rock the town. Show the world just how epic we are!

As promised here are the pics from last nights awesomeness!

This is so true! My dad used to do that! I hate seeing this combo so much!

Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every 6 months – Oscar Wilde

Never have I ever seen a more horrendous sight than the ankles of a man sporting socks with sandals. Crime against fashion I

hear you cry? Yes, but surely it’s a crime against social decorum! I mean, who on earth ever believed that such a bizarre concoction should have the right to create amazing results? The sort of results that have women swooning at the mere sight of a man’s bottom half stepping off a bus; or have them rushing over to an escalator to see their hideous combination slowly being unveiled like some sordid prize on a quiz show… No, no, NO! No one, surely no one believed this could ever be possible, so why even try it?!

Only a small minority would think this, to spend that extra…
